Chelsey Thomas, MAEd
she/her/hers
Hi, I’m Chelsey, founder and Independent Educational Consultant at Resonate. I grew up in Spokane, WA and after graduating from Western Washington University, I taught English abroad for over three years. This experience allowed me to travel extensively, something I love to do! It also taught me that my calling in this life is to work with youth, so I earned my Masters in Education and Counseling at Seattle University in 2015 and have been a high school counselor ever since.
I have over 8 years’ experience working with students as they explore their next steps after graduation and these kinds of conversations are easily the best part of my day. Whether students are completely sure of their paths or don’t know where to start at all, the possibilities and routes to success are varied and endless. I encourage students to look beyond what they think they should do or where they think they should apply for college and focus their energy inward to learn what truly resonates with them when it comes to their future goals and dreams.
My role as a current school counselor allows me to see and understand what students are experiencing daily: what they want, what they need, what they’re stressed or excited about and my innate ability to build genuine, trusting relationships is the reason I’m effective at what I do. I’ve helped thousands of students grades 9 through 12 successfully navigate the college preparation and application process and my goal is to help make their experience as stress-free and joyful as possible. I would love to connect with you to share more about my approach to college counseling and how I can help meet your student’s needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions or book your free consultation today!
